These are the most common questions that our customers have asked us about laser tattoo removal and our services.
The Ink Eraser’s advanced picosecond technology removes tattoos by breaking up the pigment colors with a high-intensity laser light beam. Picosecond technology is one trillionth of a second which causes the laser to fragment the ink into even smaller particles so your body can be break the ink down even faster. Black tattoo pigment absorbs all laser wavelengths, making it the easiest color to treat. Other colors can only be treated by selected lasers based upon the pigment color.
Yes, lasers can remove tattoos completely. In fact, lasers are the safest, most effective tool to remove unwanted tattoos. However, you may need to receive several sessions before the tattoo is removed completely.
This is the magic question and it really depends on a lot of factors. How dense the ink is? How heavy the tattoo artist hand was? What is in the ink? Homemade ink typically removes in as little as 1-3 sessions. Where is your tattoo located on your body? Anything far from the heart such as fingers, toes, ankles and lower legs can take longer to remove because there is less circulation and is farther from the heart. If your tattoo is raised and thick the laser will have to break through many layers and the ink will start dissolving over the series of laser treatments.
Generally, amateur or homemade tattoos may be removed within 1 to 3 sessions, while professional tattoos done with harder inks can require anywhere from 8 to 15 treatments. It is possible for some tattoos to require more than 20 laser treatments. If the tattoo is very dark and large.

Green is one of the hardest colors to remove followed by light blue and purple. Neon colors can be difficult to remove and typically require multiple treatments with the ruby laser. As a general rule the greater the contrast between the color of the tattoo pigment and your skin, the better the result.

After your session you will experience minor swelling and redness and you may apply ice packs off and on throughout the night after your session. We recommend applying Aquaphor 3 times a day. In some rare cases you may experience swelling and bumps that may itch, you can take Benadryl and apply hydrocortisone cream to the area. WE do not recommend covering the tattoo and letting it breathe is a better solution. In some rare cases you may experience blisters it is important to keep the are clean and apply Neosporin. If you do not like how your eyebrows turned out, we can safely lighten them so you can have the redone or fully remove them. The laser will shatter the ink and drastically lighten even after one session. Cosmetic ink or microblading/powder brow is superficial and not removes faster than traditional tattoo ink. No skin damage and no hair damage. 1-6 sessions on average.
